Will NTR Save Trivikram Again?

Trivikram Srinivas is going through one of the toughest phases of his career. And once again, all eyes are on the one star who stood by him the last time things went wrong: NTR.

A Near-Perfect Record Until A Aa

For most of his career, Trivikram barely put a foot wrong. Film after film, he delivered hits with his trademark writing, dialogues and family emotions.

The only real setback in that run was Khaleja. It didn’t work at the box office, but over the years, it has become one of the most loved films for many fans, and it’s still celebrated today.

Up to A Aa, Trivikram’s track record was among the best in Telugu cinema.

The Agnyaathavaasi Shock

Then came Agnyaathavaasi. For the first time, Trivikram faced outright rejection. The film failed on both fronts, writing and box office, and the director faced massive criticism for it.

It was the lowest point of his career at the time.

NTR Stood by Him

What happened next is something Trivikram fans still remember. Even around the time of Agnyaathavaasi, Trivikram had announced a film with NTR.

Usually, when a director delivers a big failure, many such combinations quietly get shelved. But NTR believed in Trivikram and went ahead with the project.

The result was Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. The film was a strong comeback for Trivikram, and it proved NTR’s faith right.

The Same Position Again

Now, Trivikram finds himself in a similar spot.

His long-awaited dream project, God of War, was supposed to begin with Allu Arjun after Guntur Kaaram. But it didn’t materialise, as Allu Arjun chose to go ahead with Atlee instead. Guntur Kaaram’s result was also seen as having some impact on that decision.

After that, God of War went to NTR, and the project was officially announced.

Aadarsha Kutumbam Fills the Gap

With NTR busy with his commitments until the first half of 2027, Trivikram needed a film to fill the gap. He came up with one of the most exciting combinations of the year, teaming up with Venkatesh for Aadarsha Kutumbam.

But the film, which released last weekend, isn’t doing great at the box office. It collected around ₹51.5 Cr gross worldwide in its first weekend, well short of its break-even target of around ₹125 Cr.

The Big Question

That leaves Trivikram in a clear low phase, right before he is set to take on the biggest project of his career. God of War is planned as a massive pan-India film, and it would need huge budgets and complete trust between the star and the director.

Last time, NTR backed Trivikram when he was down, and it worked. Will he do it again? Whether NTR stays fully on board with God of War after Trivikram’s recent results is what fans of both are now waiting to see.
